Professor Shuji Nakamura featured as the Thomas A. Edison Memorial Lecturer in Washington DC

The U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) proudly hosted the Thomas A. Edison Memorial Lecture, featuring Professor Shuji Nakamura, 2014 Nobel Laureate in Physics.

Professor Nakamura—renowned for his groundbreaking work on blue LEDs and a Professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara—received the annual Edison Award and delivered an inspiring lecture to NRL staff.

The Edison Memorial Lecture, established in honor of Thomas Edison’s role in NRL’s founding, brings world-leading scientists to our laboratory each year to celebrate innovation and discovery.
